Construction is underway with move-in dates set for mid-2022.

Lee Marshall, Kids to Love Founder and CEO, expressed the importance of the program by saying, “Kids to Love believes that every child deserves a loving home. We already provide that with Davidson Farms for young girls and teens, but now with our Cottage Community we can offer these young ladies a support system as they age out of the foster care system. Becoming a young adult is such a crucial step in life and we want to make sure our girls have every opportunity to succeed.”

President and CEO, Hank Isenberg, said, “I am honored for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the new Cottage Community at Davidson Farms. I am confident in the mission of Kids to Love and look forward to the opportunities that will come for the new residents of the Cottage Community.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology
Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. Tweetsville

December 8, 2020 – IronMountain Solutions is proud to be a sponsor of the Huntsville Botanical Garden’s newest exhibit coming in February of 2021.
The Huntsville Botanical Garden unveiled plans today for Tweetsville, a new experience in its Children’s Garden centered on birds and their habitats. The 18,000-square-foot area will be completed in two phases with the first phase scheduled to open in February 2021.

Tweetsville will feature immersive elements designed to inspire children and adults alike to explore the role that birds play in the regional ecosystem of North Alabama. One key element will be a bird watch station. The bird watch will look out on an enclosed landscape designed to attract local and migrating bird species, allowing guests to observe the birds in their natural environment from behind a one-way glass. Other interactive elements will include giant bird nests to teach learners about bird behaviors and model tiny homes to demonstrate how guests can attract birds in their own backyards.

“Tweetsville represents the Garden’s dedication to connecting people to their environment in new and surprising ways,” said Sue Wagner, chief executive officer of the Garden. “This is an authentic experience that invites guests of all ages to foster a deeper understanding of how plants, animals, and people rely on each other to create a healthy environment. By sparking curiosity about birds and their native habitats, we can inspire guests to deepen their personal connection to the natural world and become stewards of the green spaces around them.”

With both guided learning resources and areas for free play, Tweetsville will offer a hands-on educational experience that encourages children and caregivers to learn and discover together. The experience also presents new opportunities for public engagement at the Garden through future programming such as field trips, classes, youth camps, and special events.

The Garden has long been a popular destination for birders and bird enthusiasts, as well as a supporter of protecting birdlife. The Lewis Birding Trail winds through the Garden and is open for guests’ enjoyment year-round, and the Garden is listed as a birding hotspot in eBird, a global birding data project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

The first phase of Tweetsville, including the bird watch station, is scheduled to open to the public in February 2021 and will be included with regular Garden admission. More information about Tweetsville can be found at http://www.hsvbg.org/Tweetsville

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology
The 2020 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2016 and 2019. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2016. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2019. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2016 is $100,000; the minimum for 2019 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.

IronMountain Solutions Recognized as one of Huntsville’s Best Places to Work for 5th Consecutive Year

June 17, 2020 – IronMountain Solutions is proud to announce that we have been recognized for the 5th consecutive year as one of Huntsville-Madison County’s “Best Places to Work.” Based solely on employee feedback this award honors companies that create an excellent workplace culture through employee engagement, strong leadership and communication. IMS received the Silver medal in the large business (101-250 employees) category.

“2020 has been an unprecedented year to say the least, says IMS President & CEO Hank Isenberg. A global pandemic has forced us all to reevaluate what a typical workday looks like. In a time when a work-life balance is even harder to achieve – we have continued the ‘Extreme Customer Focus™’ our customers know to expect from us. It is encouraging to know that even before COVID-19 changed how and where we work, employees recognized our efforts to create a company culture that allows them to succeed professionally and personally.”

The Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce presented the awards on Wednesday, June 17 during a virtual ceremony. Congratulations to all our friends in the community who were also recognized.

IMS Employees Donating Time & Talents to COVID-19 Efforts

April 30, 2020 – Many IMS employees are stepping up right now donating their time and talents to help efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

With having a daughter, Annie, on the front lines during this COVID-19 pandemic, Michael Jordan (IPS division) and his wife, Susie have stepped in to help with the lack of face masks for our medical personnel. With help from a friend with a 3-D printer, Susie gets the materials and sews the headband while Michael fabricates and assembles the face shields. They have also picked up and distributed hand-sewn masks to Huntsville hospital. The masks were sewn by the church Michael attends, the Madison United Methodist Sewing Club. They have sewn and provided over 1200 masks to hospitals, medical staff, first responders, and essential workers in and around the Huntsville area. Michael and Susie, thank you for your selflessness during this dark time. We are proud to have you on the IMS team!

Raising Men Lawn Care Service (RMLCS) is a group that donates their time and efforts to mow lawns for those in need. This group also has recently started a charity auction which one of our own, Russ Dayton (IPS division) is a crucial part of. Russ was approached by the founder of RMLCS, Rodney Smith Jr., to do some paint work on lawn mowers that would be auctioned off for charity. Since Russ likes to include charitable work and donations as part of his home business operations, he thought being involved with the lawn mower project would be a great way to support RMLCS and their community service mission.

Russ has completed two lawn mowers for RMLCS and is working on his third. Each mower has a theme related to the charity auction. The first mower was an American Flag which will be auctioned off to support Gold Star Mothers. The second mower was dedicated to our men and women in blue and it will be auctioned off to support the fallen police officers. The one he is working on now is dedicated to the medical workers and first responders who are on the frontlines of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Its auction will support the urgently needed medical care. It takes Russ around 1-2 weeks to paint each mower. Once his paint job is done, the mowers are reassembled into a fully operational lawn mower. Russ, we are proud to have you on the IMS team. Keep up the great work!

Employee Peaks Fund Contributors Vote to Support Two Disaster Relief Funds

April 29, 2020 – The IMS Employee Peaks Fund is best known for our semi-annual grants that support nonprofits across our community. Traditionally, nonprofits submit an application, which is reviewed for eligibility by the Board of Directors, and then eligible candidates are voted on by Employee Peaks Fund participants for final selection.

However, events over the last two months have presented opportunities for the Peaks Fund to support our community in different ways. In early March, employee participants voted to support the Middle Tennessee Disaster Relief Fund established to provide relief to areas affected by the tornadoes in the Nashville areas with a $3,000 grant. Several IMS employees live in the affected areas and many extended family members also live in those areas. 99% of our employee participants voted in favor of supporting this relief effort.

More recently, the Coronavirus pandemic has created an unprecedented threat to both our health and economic livelihood. In early April, the employee participants were presented with an opportunity to support the Huntsville/Madison County Community Foundation Emergency Relief Fund. This fund was activated specifically to support local nonprofits that have been heavily impacted by the economic impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. 100% of our employee participants votes were cast in favor of supporting the Relief Fund. Nearly 90% of those votes were cast in favor of awarding a $5,000 grant to this cause. These funds will be used to provide basic needs and health and wellness resources related to the COVID-19 crisis for our community.

We are proud of the Employee Peaks Fund history of support for nonprofits in our community. We are also proud that we’ve been able to lend a hand, outside of our typical grant process, to those in need during time of crisis. Thank you to all our employee contributors!

Heart Walk Fundraising Underway

April 17, 2020 – Typically, this time of year we would be gearing up for the Huntsville Heart Walk. Because of COVID-19 the event has been postponed to Saturday, June 27. Fundraising efforts are underway now and we hope you will join Team IMS in our goal of raising $15,000. Already, we are off to a great start! On the City-Wide Heart Rally Day on April 16, Team IMS raised more than $2,500 in one day putting us in the Top 3 local companies for fundraising and recruiting!

IMS Proud Sponsor of “Tweetsville”

March 18, 2020 – IMS is proud to sponsor an enhancement that will be made to the Children’s Garden at The Huntsville Botanical Garden. It is called Tweetsville.  The project is expected to break ground sometime this year pending any possible delays because of COVID-19.

Through this project, the Botanical Garden will provide children and their caregivers with new ways of learning in an outdoor classroom, teaching lessons about native habitats. They will learn what a native habitat is, why it is relevant to them, and even how urban expansion affects native habitats.

Why the focus on birds?  The Garden is the home to the Lewis Birding Trail which is devoted to the conservation, education and enjoyment of bird life.  The Garden is listed as a birding “Hot Spot” by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon.  Much like the butterflies and turtles in the Purdy Butterfly House, birds are charismatic creatures that can surprise and delight guests of all ages.

IronMountain Solutions Named a 2019 Best Places to Work Contender

January 30, 2019 –  For the 4th consecutive year, IronMountain Solutions has been named as a contender for the Huntsville Madison County Chamber’s Best Places to Work award.  The company took home the award in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and is hopeful the streak will continue in 2019. Each year the Chamber celebrates businesses that have created an excellent workplace culture through employee engagement, strong leadership and excellent communication. For IMS to even be selected as a contender, employees completed an anonymous survey that essentially graded us as an employer. The fact that year after year our employees continue to give us high marks is truly humbling.

“Because of recent company growth, we have a lot of new faces mixed with longtime employees at IronMountain Solutions. It is nice to know that no matter the tenure, our employees recognize the effort put into to providing a positive culture made up of outstanding benefits and growth opportunities.”  – Hank Isenberg, IronMountain Solutions President & CEO

Contenders will be recognized, and winners announced during the Chamber’s Best Places to Work Awards on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:30am.  For a complete list of contenders visit the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s website.

Employees Award $31,000 in Grants to Local Non-Profit Organizations

January 14, 2019 – In its inaugural year having an employee giving fund, the employees of IronMountain Solutions and its subsidiaries raised and awarded $31,000.00 to 10 deserving non-profit organizations in our community. In March of 2018, IronMountain Solutions collaborated with the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville to establish an employee giving fund. An employee board was formed, and the Employee Peaks Fund was established and initially funded with a $10,000 donation from the company. Employees then contributed more than $20,000 over the course of the rest of the year.

IronMountain Solutions as a company has always believed in supporting our community, but to see individual employees give their support to raise this amount of money in such a short amount of time is truly remarkable. It reinforces that we really do have the right kind of people on our team,” says IMS President & CEO Hank Isenberg.

The Employee Peaks Fund Board of Directors began accepting grant applications over the summer. All employees who contributed to the fund were then able to vote on the causes they would like to support. We had the great privilege of handing out checks at the end of 2018 and into early 2019 – the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season!

The following charitable organizations received support from the IMS Employee Peaks Fund:
CASA of Madison County – $5,000.00
Habitat for Humanity – $2,500.00
New Hope Children’s Clinic – $5,000.00
Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Alabama – $2,500.00
Manna House – $3,500.00
305 8th Street – $2,500.00
Free 2 Teach – $2,500.00
Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama – $2,500.00
Fresh Start Life Recovery Program – $2,500.00
Hunter Stephenson Feline & Canine Rescue Center – $2,500.00
